šŸÆ Raw Honey & Honeycomb

What is raw honey?

Raw honey is honey that has not been heavily processed or pasteurised. We keep our honey as close as possible to its natural state so you can enjoy its distinctive flavour, aroma and texture.

Why does raw honey crystallise?

Crystallisation is a completely natural process and does not mean that your honey has gone bad.

The speed and texture of crystallisation can vary depending on the floral variety, temperature and natural composition of the honey. Some varieties remain liquid for considerably longer than others.

Can I make crystallised honey liquid again?

Yes. Place the closed jar in warm water and allow it to warm gradually. Avoid boiling or excessively heating the honey.

How should I store raw honey?

Keep honey tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration is not necessary and can encourage crystallisation.

What is the difference between the honey varieties?

The colour, aroma, flavour and texture of honey can vary depending on the flowers and plants visited by the bees.

For example, Acacia Honey is typically light and delicately flavoured, while Honeydew Honey tends to be darker and richer. Polyfloral and other single-flower varieties each have their own distinctive characteristics.

What is honeycomb?

Honeycomb is the natural beeswax structure created by honeybees to store honey. Our honeycomb contains honey within its original wax cells.

Can you eat the beeswax in honeycomb?

Yes. Honeycomb can be enjoyed whole, including the natural beeswax cells. You can chew it on its own or enjoy it with bread, cheese, yoghurt and other foods.

Is honey suitable for babies?

No. Honey should not be given to children under 12 months old.

šŸ Propolis, Bee Pollen & Bee Bread

What is propolis?

Propolis is a natural resinous substance produced by bees using plant resins and other materials. Bees use it within the hive, and it has a long history of traditional use.

We offer propolis in several forms, including tinctures, sprays and other preparations.

What is bee pollen?

Bee pollen consists of flower pollen collected by bees and naturally combined with small amounts of nectar and bee secretions before being brought back to the hive.

It can be eaten on its own or added to yoghurt, smoothies and other foods.

What is bee bread?

Bee bread is pollen that bees store inside the honeycomb, where it undergoes a natural fermentation process.

This gives bee bread characteristics and a flavour that differ from ordinary bee pollen.

What's the difference between bee pollen and bee bread?

Bee pollen is collected pollen, while bee bread is pollen that has been stored and naturally fermented within the hive.

They are therefore related bee products but are not the same thing.

What is royal jelly?

Royal jelly is a substance produced by worker bees and used within the colony to feed developing larvae and the queen bee.

Because fresh royal jelly is highly perishable, it should be stored according to the instructions supplied with the product.

šŸŠ Sea Buckthorn

What is sea buckthorn?

Sea buckthorn is a bright orange berry with a naturally sharp, tart flavour. It is used in juices, smoothies, foods and a variety of traditional preparations.

We offer sea buckthorn in several forms, including whole frozen berries and pure sea buckthorn juice.

How do I use frozen sea buckthorn berries?

Whole sea buckthorn berries can be blended into smoothies and juices or used to make syrups, jams, sauces, teas and other recipes.

Because their flavour is naturally tart, many people combine them with sweeter fruits or honey.

How should frozen sea buckthorn berries be stored?

Keep frozen sea buckthorn berries at -18°C or below and follow the storage instructions on the product packaging.

Is your sea buckthorn juice pure?

Check the individual product listing for the exact composition of each juice. Where a product is described as 100% sea buckthorn juice, no other juice is used to dilute it.

🌿 Natural Skincare

What skincare products do you offer?

Our Natural Skincare collection includes products made with carefully selected botanical and bee-derived ingredients, including beeswax balms, lip care and our Sea Buckthorn & Beeswax Cream.

What is Sea Buckthorn & Beeswax Cream?

Our Sea Buckthorn & Beeswax Cream is a rich natural moisturiser combining sea buckthorn extract, beeswax, propolis extract, bee pollen, sweet almond oil and olive oil.

It is designed to moisturise and condition the skin and is suitable for everyday external use.

Can I use your beeswax skincare if I'm allergic to bee products?

Our skincare may contain ingredients such as beeswax, propolis and bee pollen. Anyone with a known allergy or sensitivity to bee products or another listed ingredient should check the complete ingredient list before use and avoid products containing ingredients to which they are allergic.

šŸ•Æļø Beeswax Candles

Are your beeswax candles made from real beeswax?

Our products described as 100% beeswax candles are made using natural beeswax. Always check the individual product description for details about a particular candle.

Why can natural beeswax vary in colour?

Beeswax is a natural material, so its colour and appearance can vary. Natural variations are part of the character of genuine beeswax and do not necessarily indicate a difference in quality.

How should I burn a beeswax candle safely?

Always place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from draughts and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep burning candles away from children and pets.

Follow any additional safety instructions supplied with your candle.

šŸ“¦ Orders, Storage & Delivery

Where can I find storage instructions?

Storage requirements vary between products.

Shelf-stable honey should be kept in a cool, dry place, while products such as frozen sea buckthorn berries and fresh royal jelly require appropriate temperature-controlled storage.

Always follow the storage instructions provided on the individual product page and packaging.

Where can I find ingredient and allergen information?

Ingredients and relevant allergen information are provided on individual product listings and/or product packaging.

If you have a food allergy or sensitivity, please check this information carefully before purchasing or consuming a product.
