🍯 Product Questions

1. What is raw honey?
Raw honey is honey in its purest form—unpasteurised, unprocessed, and unblended. It’s lightly filtered to remove wax but retains all natural nutrients like enzymes, pollen, amino acids, antioxidants, and vitamins. Unlike supermarket honey, ours is never heated or diluted, ensuring maximum health benefits and flavour.

2. Is your honey pure, or do you add sugar or flavourings?
Our honey is 100% pure—no added sugar, sweeteners, or flavourings. The natural taste and aroma come directly from the flowers our bees forage.

3. Why has my honey crystallised?
Crystallisation is a natural sign of raw, high-quality honey. It happens because real honey contains natural sugars and pollen. To return it to liquid, place the jar in warm water (max 40°C) and stir gently. Avoid microwaving.

4. How should I store and use raw honey?
Store it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Keep the lid tightly closed. You can enjoy it in warm drinks (below 40°C to keep nutrients intact), drizzle over food, or take it by the spoon.

5. Where does your honey come from?
Our honey is sourced from Maglavit village, Dolj County, Romania, just 2 km from the Danube River. Surrounded by acacia forests and wild meadows, it’s a pristine area ideal for natural beekeeping.

6. Is your honey organic?
Our bee pollen is certified organic, and we follow strict natural beekeeping practices for our honey—no pesticides, no antibiotics, and no additives. While the honey itself is not officially certified organic yet, it is independently lab-tested for purity and quality.

7. Is honey safe for children?
Raw honey should not be given to children under 12 months old due to the risk of botulism. For older children and adults, it’s perfectly safe and nutritious.

8. Is your honey suitable for vegetarians or vegans?

  • Vegetarian-friendly – Yes, our honey is suitable for vegetarians.

  • Vegan-friendly? – Opinions differ. Some vegans avoid honey, but we follow ethical beekeeping practices that prioritise bee welfare, so the choice is yours.

9. What’s the nutritional value of your honey?
