Unlike traditional blossom honey made from flower nectar, Honeydew Honey is crafted by bees who collect sweet sap (honeydew) from the bark of forest trees such as oak, fir, and pine. The result? A rare and powerful honey with a deep, malty flavour, a dark amber colour, and a smooth, silky texture.
Our Honeydew Honey is harvested by hand in the unspoiled woodlands of Maglavit, a small Romanian village near the Danube River. It’s part of a family tradition, led by our uncle Ghitoiu – a beekeeper since 1987 who cares for his bees like they’re part of the family.
✅ No artificial heat – All enzymes and nutrients remain intact
✅ No filtering beyond one gentle cold straining
✅ No additives, no sugar, no shortcuts
Taste: Deep, rich, caramel-like with woody notes
Texture: Smooth and thick but not crystallised
Colour: Dark amber to brown – a sign of higher mineral content
Honeydew Honey is known to contain higher levels of antioxidants and minerals than flower honey. It’s also naturally rich in prebiotics, supporting healthy gut bacteria and immune balance.

We’re proud to bring you this rare, forest-crafted honey – straight from our hives in Romania to your home in the UK. Each jar helps protect traditional beekeeping, supports local biodiversity, and connects you to nature in the purest form.
Tips: Store your honey in a cool, dry place. Keep in mind, it’s a natural characteristic of raw honey to set (crystallise). Should crystallisation occur, gently warm the jar in hot water.
